The 20-year-old impressed after arriving on loan in January and turned heads during seven appearances.
Rangers loanee Oscar Cortes ' future is set to be ironed out between parent club Lens and the Ibrox side in the coming days – according to a report.
The 20-year-old impressed after arriving on loan in January and turned heads during seven appearances, however, a muscle injury put paid to his season. But now Lens – who have Cortes under contract until 2028 – will make a call on what comes next whether it be a second loan or a permanent transfer, states Frence outlet CanalRCN.
Rangers boss Philippe Clement is a major admirer but warned last week the deal has to make sense for his team. He said: “We are talking with Lens about what the situation is because in this situation it is a different situation from when he was fit. At the moment he was fit he was showing the right things, but it was really short term. Then it needs to be at the right price.”
Meanwhile, Rangers have been namechecked as a potential destination for emerging South African midfielder Relebohile Mofokeng. The Orlando Pirates man – who can also play in attack – has been linked with the likes of Wolves and Salzburg after spending time on trial with Reading. The 19-year-old is expected to be on the move this summer.
Clement and signing guru Nils Koppen are expected to have an active summer with the likes of John Lundstram and Borna Barisic nearing the end of their Ibrox contracts.
