Welcome to March. It’s madness, we hear. But it’s also time to start counting down the Rangers’ top 30 prospects. Why stop at 30, though? There are 31 days in...

: Figuereo, whose father Victor pitched three seasons in the Rangers organization from 2002-04, signed for $80,000 out of Las Matas de Farfan in the Dominican Republic in 2021. He ended up finishing 2021 as the youngest player in the club’s Fall Instructional League camp. He popped into our end-of-season top 30 at No. 20 to finish the 2022 season.: Big-time power potential. Figuereo hit nine homers in just 125 at-bats as an 18-year-old in the Arizona Complex League.

And even when it didn’t leave the park, it came off the bat hot with what the Rangers say are top of the charts maximum exit velocities.: To go along with the power, he’s got pretty advanced strike zone discipline. The bat will play. Now, the question is where. He’s started all 76 games as a professional at third base but has 28 errors there an .878 fielding percentage. Fielding percentage may not tell you much anymore, but when it starts with an eight it needs work.
