The Rangers do not plan to put Seager on the injured list, though it’s unclear exactly when he will return.
Texas Rangers' Corey Seager, right, is greeted by Josh Smith after hitting a solo home run off Baltimore Orioles pitcher Cade Povich during the first inning of a baseball game, Saturday, June 29, 2024, in Baltimore. The Rangers do not plan to put him on the injured list, though it’s unclear exactly when he will return.
“We got good news there,” Young said on The Fan Monday afternoon. “Sometimes, an X-ray doesn’t show anything and an MRI reveals a little more. But they aligned. They were clean. His return will be based on pain and swelling, so we feel like we dodged a bullet there.”Seager was hit by a pitch by Baltimore’s Cade Povich in the fifth inning Saturday and immediately crumpled to the ground, cradling the left wrist against his body. He left the field before athletic trainers could even get to him.
