The Pro Football Hall of Famer and beloved sports commentator made a much-anticipated appearance via livestream at Thursday's NFL Honors to present the Comeback Player of the Year award. This marked his first major public appearance since last December when he revealed his battle with cancer. \'Good evening everybody. How y'all doing? It is great to talk to you tonight,' he said, expressing his joy at connecting with fans.
'I'm sorry I could not be there in person to join you all, but I want to send a special thank you to all of my doctors, my beautiful wife, my children, my family, my teammates, and all the prayer warriors out there. We are Mossing cancer, and I cannot wait to get back on television with all my guys.' \The former star wide receiver, who was drafted in 1998, shared his excitement about presenting an award he himself had won back in 2007 with the New England Patriots. 'There's no better story in the National Football League than the one about a player who does big things, overcome adversity, and face obstacles, but ultimately find their way back to the mountaintop,' he said, highlighting the resilience and determination often seen in players who earn this prestigious recognition. Moss has played for several teams throughout his career, including the Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans, San Francisco 49ers, and the Minnesota Vikings. His journey began with the Vikings, a team he's strongly associated with, and he went on to become a legend in the NFL. \The news of Moss's cancer diagnosis broke on December 6th. A week later, he confirmed the news on Instagram live, calling himself a 'cancer survivor.' 'Your boy is a cancer survivor. Been in the hospital for six days. I just got out today, thank God. So first and foremost, I'd like to thank God for really just blessing me and my family through this trying time, and me being able to come outta this surgery and fight and battle this cancer,' he said during the live stream. Moss explained that doctors had found the cancer in his bile duct, situated between the pancreas and liver. 'And the cancer was sitting right outside the bile duct, so my doctors...went in,' he explained. 'I had a six-hour surgery.
