At the team’s Super Bowl victory parade and rally, the coach and defensive star ease the concern that they’re about to walk away.
Sean McVay and Aaron Donald talked about the future on Wednesday, loudly if not absolutely clearly.the parade and rallyBut they eased that worry a bit with playful comments on a microphone during the rally outside the peristyle end of the L.A. Memorial Coliseum.
“Sean McVay just tapped me on the shoulder,” Long said to Donald. “He wanted to know if you were interested in running it back .”“We built a superteam,” Donald yelled in response. “We bring a superteam back, why not run it back? We can be world champions !” But this was the closest Donald or McVay has come to promising to stay with the Rams since their 23-20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium on Sunday.
He told a national reporter later that he’s “committed to this team and coaching,” but told a Los Angeles Times columnist, “We’ll see” about whether he coaches in 2022.
