“President Ramaphosa wished all those injured a speedy recovery,” says the president’s spokesperson Vincent Magwenya.“Some family members of those missing have spent the day waiting for news, and touring hospitals in their search for their loved ones. This party-goer says problems started after a large group surged into the narrow street.
“They just wanted to feel that fun and freedom of Halloween, finally with less restrictions and dress up and have a good time and very quickly it became an actual horror."
