President Cyril Ramaphosa replies to Questions for Oral Reply in the National Council of Provinces in Parliament, Cape Town.President Cyril Ramaphosa says he has no reason to doubt the integrity of the report of the panel he appointed toRamaphosa was answering oral questions in the National Council of Provinces on Thursday, where he was asked about the measures government was taking to fight the scourge of the construction mafia.
The President has given Parliament assurance that government has taken measures to fight the scourge of the hijacking of construction projects by so-called construction mafia. “But also to focus on illicit mining and extortion. These include the NPA, FIC, relevant government departments, the NICOC as well as SARS,” adds the President.
“I have no reason whatsoever to believe the finding of the panel were irrational. In fact, I believe they were completely rational as one went through the report.”
