The official Karate Kid: Legends trailer has dropped, featuring Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan becoming senseis to Ben Wang.
“After a family tragedy, kung fu prodigy Li Fong is uprooted from his home in Beijing and forced to move to New York City with his mother,” reads the synopsis. “Li struggles to let go of his past as he tries to fit in with his new classmates, and although he doesn’t want to fight, trouble seems to find him everywhere. Created by Robert Mark Kamen, the iconic franchise started with the 1984 film The Karate Kid, which earned legendary actor Pat Morita an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as Mr. Miyagi. Due to its commercial and critical success, it spawned two more sequels starring Macchio’s Daniel Larusso, as well as the 1994 spin-off The Next Karate Kid starring Swank’s Julie.
