Following a disappointing stint as Manchester United interim manager, Ralf Rangnick has opened up about permanently parting ways with the club. 👀 More here! ➡
On Sunday, United announced that the German tactician would no longer take up a consultancy role at Old Trafford next season, as had initially been planned.Having taken over from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in November 2021, Rangnick failed to inspire any meaningful change at the Red Devils as they finished the 2021/22 season with their worst Premier League points tally ever.
In the 63-year-old's 29 matches at the club's helm, the team won 11 times, drew on nine occasions, and suffered defeat in nine games. In April, the Red Devils announced that their short-term boss had been appointed as the new manager of the Austrian national team, confirming that he would be in charge of the side from May for the country's UEFA Nations League games against Croatia, Denmark, and France.
The head coach, who initially insisted he could take on both jobs together, has now revealed why he decided against staying on in a consultancy role at Old Trafford.
