Report came in around 9:15 a.m. in the area of Christensen and Twin Cities roads
GALT -- The two people killed in a plane crash near Galt on Sunday have now been identified by authorities.
Crews responded to the scene just after 9:15 a.m. near Christensen and Twin Cities road and found a small plane had crashed into an orchard. Both Cosumnes Fire units and Sacramento County sheriff's deputies responded. FAA and National Transportation Safety Board investigators also later responded. The Sacramento County Coroner's Office has since released the identity of the two men killed: 68-year-old Orangevale resident Richard Conte and 56-year-old El Dorado Hills resident Kenneth Mueller.
Raley's Supermarkets says Mueller and Conte were a longtime team members, with Mueller being the company's Chief Financial Officer and Conte being Chief Pilot.
