According to Richard Peigler, a professor of biology at UIW, even seemingly innocuous items like bird baths or kiddie pools can become breeding grounds for mosquitoes. Once mosquitoes establish themselves, they can be challenging to control. Professor Peigler highlighted their remarkable ability to find unprotected spots on the body, "Amazingly, you can leave one spot on your forehead or the back of your neck that isn't covered, and that's where they'll bite you. They're very good at this."
