Heavy rain and the chance for isolated downpours will be moving through the Philadelphia region Wednesday evening before sun returns Thursday. Temperatures have been close to seasonable making for nice conditions on Wednesday but rain is on the way tonight.
NBC10 First Alert Weather meteorologist Brittney Shipp has your forecast. Tonight, a line of heavy rain and isolated downpours will move in from the northwest and move though the region after 7 p.m. This will last until 2 a.m. with the rain exiting the coast before sunrise. Sunshine makes a comeback heading into the weekend with temperatures climbing from the upper 60s and low 70s on Friday into the low 80s by Saturday.
The real summer preview arrives early next week as highs surge close to 90 degrees for Monday and Tuesday with a mix of sun and clouds. Humidity also starts creeping up during that stretch so it’s going to feel noticeably warmer outside. By the middle to end of next week, scattered showers and storms return and temperatures ease back into the upper 70s and low 80s.
