For the rest of the week, the temperatures will go down

) - Numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected across the Gulf Coast as we finish out the work week. Rain chances will be at 70% overnight tonight, with most of the rain being light to moderate. Rain chances ramp up to 80% tomorrow on your Thursday.

Heavier showers and storms are expected near the coast. Good rain chances will continue for Thursday night and Friday as the stalled front continues to hang over the northern Gulf. Along the front, we are seeing a non-tropical low pressure area the northwest Gulf of Mexico. That surface low is helping to build and drive rain chances up in our area. It is also interacting with an upper level trough and this pattern should stay in place through the end of the week. Dryer air moves in over the weekend, especially by Saturday afternoon and Sunday. Overnight lows will be in the 60s this weekend on Saturday and Sunday nights. Daytime will be in the mid 80s on Saturday and Sunday. In the tropics we are looking at four areas of disturbed weather. These are all low probability features - meaning that development is not likely but will continue to watch each feature in the Atlantic basin. The one that has the most likelihood of entering the Gulf is currently in the central & western Caribbean. It should be in the Southwest Gulf of Mexico by early next week and odds development are at 30%. We will keep watching!Woman charged with beheading man with chainsaw
