Rain chances go up and temperatures go down as we go into the holiday weekend.
A significant pattern change is coming as we head toward Labor Day weekend. Rain chances and less hot weather can be expected.
Thick Gulf moisture will continue to be transported into North Texas from the south. This will be aided by an area of low pressure down near the Texas coast, which is where the highest rain chances will be today. Simultaneously there will be a weak cold front to the north of DFW moving through by this evening. This front will help to serve as a focal point for showers and thunderstorms to develop.
