Las Vegas Raiders may have a competition at the starting quarterback position between Jimmy Garoppolo and rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell
The Raiders now fall to 1-3 after a 24-17 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. The Raiders have now loss three games in a row.
Raiders fourth round rookie quarterback Aidan O'Connell, suited up and started in his first NFL regular season game against the Chargers. Starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo suffered a concussion and was not be able to get out of concussion protocol before kickoff against the Chargers. Other times throughout the game, O'Connell also looked like a veteran quarterback, especially late in the fourth quarter making phenomenal throws to star wide receiver Davante Adams. He finished the game throwing for 238 yards along with rising touchdown. He also had a 61.5% completion percentage as well as a quarterback rating of 68.1.had the opportunity to speak to the media on his first ever NFL game and how he is still trying to learn on being a rookie quarterback in this league.
