The Las Vegas Raiders have announced the hiring of Brennan Carroll as their offensive line coach. This move marks a reunion for Brennan with his father, Pete Carroll, who recently took over as head coach of the Raiders.
The Las Vegas Raiders have made a significant coaching change, appointing Brennan Carroll as their offensive line coach. This move reunites Carroll with his father, Pete Carroll , the Raiders' new head coach. Brennan Carroll brings a wealth of experience to the Raiders, having served as the offensive coordinator for the Washington Commanders in 2024. Prior to that, he held the same position under coach Jedd Fisch with the Arizona Wildcats from 2022 to 2023.
His coaching journey has also seen him work alongside his father at the collegiate level. From 2015 to 2020, he served as the assistant offensive line coach and then run game coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks, where Pete Carroll was the head coach. He further honed his coaching skills by coaching tight ends at the University of Southern California under Pete Carroll from 2004 to 2009. Yogi Roth was the first to report Carroll's expected departure from Washington. Brennan Carroll will now work under veteran offensive playcaller Chip Kelly, who was recently hired by the Raiders as their offensive coordinator. Kelly's impressive track record includes leading Ohio State to the national championship last month. The Raiders' coaching staff is shaping up to be a formidable force, with Kelly's offensive expertise complementing Pete Carroll's defensive acumen. Meanwhile, Washington is also undergoing a coaching shakeup, as defensive coordinator Steve Belichick has left to join his father, Bill Belichick, the new coach at North Carolina. To fill the vacancy, Washington has hired former Purdue coach Ryan Walters as Steve Belichick's replacement
