Local rider Syarifuddin Azman is in his rookie season in the Moto3 category of the world championships which will be held at the Sepang International Circuit in November.
SIC chief executive officer Azhan Shafriman Hanif said 7,000 K2 hillstand tickets are on sale to Malaysian fans through online and ticketing counters from today. “We are expecting 170,000 spectators this year, compared to 164,000 last year, and we are on the right track to sell out because almost 70% of tickets have already been taken up,” he said at a media conference attended by youth and sports minister Hannah Yeoh.Local fans will have someone to cheer for with Puchong-born Syarifuddin Azman currently racing for the MT Helmets-MSI team in the Moto3 class, but Azhan said that, so far, no local riders would be given a wildcard.
