Raheem Sterling has referenced his 'ups and downs' as a Manchester City player in a farewell message ahead of his transfer to Chelsea.
Confirming his City exit, Sterling said he is a stronger person for the harder periods of the last seven years, as he paid tribute to his teammates, coaches and supporters at the Etihad. Writing on social media, Sterling said: "Seven seasons, eleven major trophies, a lifetime of memories. "To the backroom staff, to the office staff, to the fans who have tirelessly supported the team, and to everyone involved with Manchester City, my respect for you couldn't be greater. What a ride it's been.
