Children were left in floods of tears and parents fumed after travelling far and wide for the event which promised a family-day out with a 'paradise of sweet treats'.

Raging mums and dads have hit out at the 'Willy Wonka Chocolate Experience' event in Glasgow after turning up with their children over the weekend to a near empty warehouse.

It caused an uproar among parents and forced organisers to pull the plug halfway through the first day. Police officers were also called to the event.Parents took to social media to express their anger with some breathing a sigh of relief as they had not booked to go to the event despite contemplating it.

Amanda Dickson added: "I got an email from them saying a refund had been issued but can take up to 10 days to go through, I better get it or I'll need to contact my bank for a refund. It's shocking." Frankie King said: "Ripping adults off is bad enough but this is emotional trauma for children and an unforgivable new low."
