Márquez, de 45 años, trabajó un par de años con la filial del Barcelona donde tuvo una brillante etapa como jugador en la que ganó cuatro veces la liga de España y dos de la Liga de Campeones.
Aunque no ha sido anunciado oficialmente, Márquez se integrará al cuerpo técnico de Javier Aguirre, quien se perfila para ser el nuevo entrenador del combinado mexicano luego de la salida de Jaime Lozano. “Siempre sueñas con lo más alto, tengo gran amor por la selección y ojalá algún día se pueda dar, pero para llegar a esos niveles hay que estar muy preparado”, dijo Márquez el mes pasado en una entrevista con The Associated Press.
