Raf Simons fans, rejoice!
will have a debut of his own. For the first time in 25 years, Simons will design womenswear under his eponymous label, shown alongside his spring 2021 menswear collection on October 23. The news was announced with a series of Instagram posts covered in stickers reading “question everything,” “exit the parade,” and “teenage dreams.”
While Simons is most famous for revolutionizing menswear with his skinny silhouette and anti-fashion spirit in the ’90s and aughts, he is certainly no stranger to womenswear. In 2005, he was appointed creative director of Jil Sander and introduced his first women’s ready-to-wear looks for fall 2006, echoing the sleek Germanic minimalism of the house’s founder.
