Radio presenter Jo Whiley has revealed that her 'lovely' dad Martin has passed away, just weeks after sharing an update on his Parkinson's disease diagnosis.
The 61-year-old took to Instagram to share a series of happy snaps and clips of her dad throughout the years, remembering him as 'the kindest man' who 'lived solely to make others happy'. Jo, who has been dealing with difficult personal challenges as her family face a series of health issues, thanked her dad for her love of music, calling him the 'OG DJ' and applauding him for his passion for music.
She also shared stories of her dad's childhood, which was marked by hardship, including being sent to a sanitarium in London for two years with TB.
