Officials in a second Northeast Ohio city are coming forward this week to address the distribution of a racist flyer.

AKRON , Ohio -

19 News told you Tuesday about our own Harry Boomer and his neighbors discovering flyers in Cleveland’s Hough neighborhood. One flyer target the Black community, promote white supremacy and include contact information for the Ku Klux Klan.Akron Mayor Shammas Malik and Acting Chief Brian Harding released a joint statement Wednesday condemning the distributer.

“We want to be extremely clear: Racism and hate have no place in our community, and we find the flyer to be disgusting and offensive. We’re aware that these flyers have been placed in other Northeast Ohio communities and we are talking with other cities to gather further information. We encourage anyone with knowledge of these flyers or who has received one themselves to please contact the police department.
