Allison is closer than ever to her dream of escaping her dreary marriage in this week's episode of Kevin Can F**k Himself, and only City Hall ex-employee Rachel Dratch is standing in her way. Season 2 of the acclaimed AMC series is also its last, but the network has promised a satisfying conclusion to the genre-bending dark comedy, which has built a steady fanbase over the course of its short run.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Things got pretty serious in Kevin Can F**k Himself season 1, with Allison growing intent on murdering her good-for-nothing husband , who is patterned after the "lovable" narcissists in shows like King of Queens and—of course—Kevin Can Wait. In the season 2 premiere, however, she shifted her focus to faking her own death in order to get out of Worcester without anyone asking questions.
After all that trouble, their would-be savior does not have the certificate herself. Instead, she offers Allison and Patty a set of spare keys to get into city hall and search the records room while it is pitch black. And thus the plot of "The Unreliable Narrator" kicks off, with Allison and Patty making their way to a very public location during a blackout in order to find Gertrude's death certificate.
New episodes of Kevin Can F**k Himself season 2 drop Mondays at 9pm ET/PT on AMC. AMC+ subscribers, meanwhile, receive access to episodes a week early.
