I’ve found that if I switch woman to person or human, the arguments are taken more seriously. If I say “pregnancy takes a huge toll on a woman’s body. It affects her for life.” The argument tends to be dismissed. But if I say “pregnancy takes a huge toll on the human body. It affects a person for life” suddenly empathy and understanding emerge.

I really sucks but I’ve never convinced anyone using woman. I have to remind them women are human beings.
