Six months after Julian Sands went missing while on a hike in California, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s office declared Sands dead. He was 65
his family released a statement
: “We continue to hold Julian in our hearts with bright memories of him as a wonderful father, husband, explorer, lover of the natural world and the arts, and as an original and collaborative performer.” Born in Yorkshire, England, Sands was the middle child in a family of five sons and a single mother. With an early interest in performing, he attended the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London before making the BBC debut that led to Hollywood.
