The VideoMicro II is a
true shotgun condenser microphone with a super-cardioid polar pattern. It delivers highly directional audio and focuses on the sound source it is pointed at while reducing background noise. Built at RØDE’s state-of-the-art factory in Sydney, the VideoMicro II uses RØDE’s annular line tube technology and offers a transparent and full-bodied sound. The circuitry has been overhauled for enhanced sensitivity and lower self-noise. Considering its compact size, the VideoMicro II capture broadcast sound quality and is just as easy to use as its predecessor.... [+]The VideoMicro II doesn’t need batteries and has no complicated controls.
The mic has a 3.5mm TRS output and no complicated controls. Just plug it into the host camera and start filming. The lightweight design adds just 39g to the weight of a camera and the rugged, all-metal body is tough enough to withstand life on the road. Also included in the price is deluxe foam and furry windshields for cutting wind noise when filming outside. The cables provided can connect the VideoMicro II to cameras and smartphones.
