Demon Slayer: Tanjiro looks down with compassion
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Demon Slayer is a dark series, to be sure, but its characters must keep moving on in spite of the darkness that they face. Nothing sums up this lesson that the series teaches greater than a line from Tanjiro in episode 7, intended to help a victim of demons carry on with his life after losing everything.
Kazumi is understandably devastated, having to live on without his beloved and knowing what a horrible fate befell her. That's when Tanjiro, no stranger to grief, chimes in. Of course, this is far from the only tragedy to occur in the series, and this theme of perseverance in the face of tragedy is a consistent one throughout Demon Slayer. Almost every time that demons are involved, there's a tragedy that's just occurred to someone. But to give in in the face of the demon's power is to surrender, to let the evil of the world win.
