Summary Die Another Day star Halle Berry reflects on her experiencing being a part of the Pierce Brosnan James Bond movie. Released in 2002, Die Another Day was directed by Lee Tamahori and represented Brosnan's swan song as 007. The movie, which wasn't particularly well-received, follows Bond as he investigates the connections between a North Korean terrorist and a diamond mogul, and the satellite weapon the pair are building.
The actor has nothing but nice things to say about her time in the Bond franchise, and shares particular praise for Brosnan, who she says will "always be my Bond." Check out Berry's full comment below: “Bond wasn’t on my wishlist, no, to be in one, but I loved the movies always. But having been in one, I feel like I’m a part of cinematic history. Those movies are iconic. They will forever be a part of our history, and I’m really honored to have been a part of one, especially with Pierce.”
In addition to Brosnan himself, who was always entertaining and as suave as ever when playing Bond, Berry was a highlight of Die Another Day. The "Bond girl" has historically been an essential ingredient in every 007 adventure, and they're usually some combination of flirtatious, mysterious and dangerous. Jinx, an NSA agent, is exactly that, and Bond first encounters her in Cuba before the two investigate a gene therapy clinic.
