A video of a bus being driven dangerously on a road in Johor has gone viral on social media. In it, the bus driver can be seen overtaking another vehicle on the double line and entering the opposite lane. Did such an incident happen? Find out below.

In the dashcam video, the bus driver can be seen overtaking another vehicle on the double line and entering the opposite lane. Did such an incident happen?In a statement on Monday , Batu Pahat OCPD Asst Comm Ismail Dollah said the incident occurred on Jalan Yong Peng-Chaah at around 10am on April 8.

“Following investigations on the dashcam footage, police were able to trace the suspect who was brought to the Batu Pahat station. “The 59-year-old bus driver admitted to driving in a dangerous manner while travelling from Larkin bus terminal to Segamat bus terminal with another passenger onboard. “The suspect has been detained to assist investigations and the case is investigated under Section 42 of the Road Transport Act 1987, which carries a jail term of not more than five years and a fine of RM5,000 to RM15,000 upon conviction,” he added.
