THEY came and they conquered – but the invaders have now become the hunted.

WHEN it comes to kidnappings or attempted kidnappings, children are sadly a tempting target and any news of such incidents tends to go viral if it happens in a public place.

It was said recently that passers-by saved a girl from being kidnapped on Monday . Is this true? This was confirmed by North Klang OCPD Asst Comm S. Vijaya Rao, who said in a statement on Tuesday that the incident occurred in a supermarket in Klang Sentral at around 7.30pm. He said that the girl was holding her aunt's hand while using an escalator there when two unknown men then tried to carry her from behind."However, they were caught by the public. Not long after, the two suspects were handed over to the police. Both have been remanded for three days to assist in the case," he said.

A 27-second video of the suspects being held by the public and the police have since made the rounds on social media. The video showed both men being handcuffed while a crowd of people as well as the police surrounded them.
