KUALA LUMPUR: An eight-month-old girl died after being left in a car for several hours here.
SOCIAL media messages have been circulating on multiple platforms targeting prospective students and offering them the opportunity to buy and sell graduation certificates and transcripts from a prestigious local university.In a statement, Universiti Malaya's Corporate Communications Centre said it was aware of such offers to buy and sell graduation certificates and transcripts online and denied any involvement.
"Universiti Malaya would like to advise members of the public to be wary of unsolicited messages claiming to be from intermediaries involved in buying UM graduation certificates and transcripts," the statement read. UM denied any involvement with such intermediaries and clarified that any degree or academic transcript not issued or produced by its Academic Administration and Services Department is not valid and void.
"Should such parties approach you, please contact us immediately at [email protected]," the statement added.
