DAVAO CITY — The aide of Kingdom of Jesus Christ founder Apollo Quiboloy surrendered 21 firearms to police here on Saturday.The 18 handguns, two rifles and a shotgun were turned over by KOJC representative Israelito Torreon to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 11 at the church compound in Barangay Sasa.In his Facebook post, Torreon said the firearms were owned by the aide, Tamayong Village chief Cresente 'Enteng' Canada.
'This act is made in order to show good faith that Barangay Captain Canada and the leaders of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ The Name Above Every Name have no intention to use violence as a means to further their lawful and Godly objectives,' Torreon said.Canada decided to entrust his guns to the police to dispel rumors that he is using them to protect Quiboloy, Torreon said.
