"Politics as being something sophisticated, hard to reach, suddenly has come to essentially the front lines," she said. To determine if the duo would make the shortlist, Mr Miles asked the boys a range of questions, including whether they referred to chicken parmesan as "parmi" or "parma". He said many feel "a lot of pressure to have to be constant content producers", especially in an effort to reach younger voters who want "more authentic and more accessible politicians"."I'm not exactly sure how memes or doing collaborations with online influencers really gets us any closer to the heart of what democracy needs and requires," Mr McTernan said.
