The post prompted a response from the child’s mother, who said the beer-drinking act, which was initially only posted to her private account, was done lightheartedly.“How about you all look at yourself, no one is a straight Mumma, you have a laugh and giggle and some fun.Queensland Minister for Child Safety, Craig Crawford, was asked about the incident during a press briefing in Brisbane on another matter.
Crawford said while he did not have memories of his father giving him a sip of beer, he “knows many people who do”. The mum, who also revealed in the post that she is expecting their second child, asked people to not “judge mothers” and to not be “cruel”.The video appeared to have been taken off the community page by the time of reporting.
