m. on March 13.were called to the scene after receiving a 911 call about a man shot. When they arrived, they found Vinces-Cobena shot multiple times about his body. Police said someone opened fire on Jairo Javier Vinces-Cobena, who lived on the 5500 block of 98th Street, in front of another home on the 9700 block of 55th Avenue in Corona, Queens, just before 7:50 p.m. on March 13.EMS rushed him to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition; however, his condition deteriorated further, and hospital staff pronounced him dead a short time later.Police did not provide details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting. Numerous bullet casings were recovered at the scene, police sources said Saturday, and detectives were canvassing nearby video cameras for further evidence. So far, no arrests have been made in the case. Police sources did not yet have an official description of the suspected shooter.
