The Spanish royal’s wedges traded her usual low, polished court shoe shape for a warmer-weather espadrille with more lift. The Picón pair appeared to be made with a soft pink suede upper, a closed toe and matching ties wrapped at the ankle, all set on a braided jute wedge.
With a rise that looked to be about 4 inches, the shoe had more height than the kitten heels and low block heels that often fill her daytime schedule, but the wedge base still kept the look inside Letizia’s practical footwear rotation.
