Queen Elizabeth's annual birthday parade will not go ahead as planned due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Trooping the Colour - which marks the official birthday of the British Sovereign - was scheduled to take place in London on 13 June.
Buckingham Palace said in a statement on Friday that the event will not go ahead in its traditional form,"In line with Government advice, it has been agreed that The Queen's Birthday Parade, also known as Trooping the Colour, will not go ahead in its traditional form. Other options, however, are being considered, as long as they adhere to government guidelines."
One of the biggest events on the royal calendar the parade usually involves 1 400 parading soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians. The event closes with a Royal Airforce flypast with the royal family watching it from Buckingham's Palace's balcony.and is now in self-isolation in his home in Scotland, away from his wife, Camilla.
