The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy is a custom processor engineered for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series which has been souped up to output even more performance over the stock variant.
Why do most of us upgrade our phones after a year or two? One reason is that the phone starts to lag and slow down once it starts filling up with apps, photos, videos, and files. When this happens, it becomes frustrating to use the phone, especially in those important moments when you need the phone to perform at its best.
Qualcomm and Samsung teamed up to create the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, a custom processor engineered explicitly for the Galaxy S23 series. But where the processor truly showcases its performance prowess is when running Samsung Dex, a feature that provides a desktop computing experience. When connected to an external display, the Galaxy S23 series will transform the mobile UI to a more PC-like environment.
But all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. As such, the Adreno 740 GPU is also clocked at a higher 719MHz now for a better gaming experience, offering features such as real-time hardware-accelerated ray tracing and improved graphics. In games like Fortnite mobile, you can max out the graphic settings to get stunning visuals at close to 60fps.
As part of the processor feature set, you’re also treated to Qualcomm Sensing Hub which uses dual AI processors for echo cancelling and noise cancellation during voice calls. For biometric security, the Galaxy S23 series uses Qualcomm 3D Sonic Sensor Gen 2 in-display fingerprint sensor that uses acoustic-based tech for even better security.
