Plans have been put forward for a temporary car park close to the hospital
Staff at the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham could benefit from a proposed 250 temporary parking spaces close to the hospital. However, 130 spots are expected to be lost at an existing car park as part of planned work.
NUH said it would offset the spaces lost due to the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme . E.ON is expected to take up 130 spaces at the Hooley’s car park while it installs 64 bore hole ground heat source collectors. The trust said in planning documents: "This constitutes a net loss of 130 car parking spaces. In order to off-set this and any others that are temporarily lost due to other PSDS projects; namely the windows replacement scheme.
Palisade fencing will be installed to secure the new parking site along with a vehicle entry management system, should the plans be approved by Nottingham City Council. Plans are also in the works for a a new 1,500-space multi-storey car park at the QMC.
