QIC Real Estate managing director Michael O’Brien resigned from his role earlier this week.
Already a subscriber?Queensland Investment Corporation’s real estate boss, Michael O’Brien, has quit the sovereign wealth fund and will be replaced by former Dexus real estate funds management chief Deborah Coakley, the asset manager said.. She had emerged as one of the top internal candidates to replace Darren Steinberg, but the company appointed Dexus chief investment officer Ross Du Vernet.
QIC chief executive Kylie Rampa said Ms Coakley’s appointment would build on the work of Mr O’Brien to position QIC’s real estate platform for growth.“Deborah is highly regarded for delivering investment management and performance outcomes for investors as well as globally leading environment, sustainability and governance outcomes,” Ms Rampa said.
