Q&A: Fashion designer Betsey Johnson dishes on new Knix collaboration

Launching April 12, the collection features intimates and loungewear, including sleep sets and a “sexy” slip dress, available in four prints — Pink Rose Fête, Pretty Kitty, Flutter By and Flower Flourish — each designed to provide entrée for fashion fans into Johnson’s “fantasy world.”Q: You have such a unique style. How would you describe it?To sum it up in a nutshell, pretty and punk. That’s me! I love anything bold, daring, and out of the box.

I was so excited that we were able to include Leakproof underwear and the Luxelift Pullover Bra in this collaboration.
Q: With six decades in the fashion industry, you’ve created pretty much every type of fashion product imaginable. What did you enjoy about putting your spin on intimates?I was thrilled I was able to do it with such an amazing brand like Knix. They were the perfect partner to bring my bold prints to life in a fresh and unique way.I truly do love them all, but I would have to say the Modal Hold Me Nightgown and Modal Sleep Sets are my most favourite because you can layer for everyday wear.
