CEBU CITY – A Cebu-based group called Real Estate Volunteers and Urban Poor, or REV UP, said it has gained the support of hundreds of representatives from the persons with disability sector to help the candidacies of Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Kiko Pangilinan.
“This development happened because of the several consultations that we conducted together with the urban poor. Some asked if the Leni-Kiko tandem has programs for the PWDs,” said Chua. Over 500 leaders of urban groups across the province of Cebu attended the consultation meeting wherein they reiterated their full support for Robredo and Pangilinan, although some urban poor groups, Chua said, have already switched to the Leni-Kiko tandem even before the meeting.
Emily Cabillada of REV UP said Robredo is the right leader who can work for the best interest and welfare of the PWDs because the sector is very close to her heart.
