Putnam County deputies responded to a call about an unresponsive 1-year-old and provided life-saving aid. After the child was taken to the hospital, a search warrant was executed at the family's home, resulting in the discovery of a significant cache of drugs and weapons.

Putnam County deputies responded to reports of an unresponsive 1-year-old child on Thursday, January 23rd. Upon arrival, 33-year-old Bruce Harris brought the lifeless child to the patrol car where a deputy provided aid until paramedics arrived. The child's mother, 27-year-old Ti'Tashua Thomas, told paramedics that the child had ingested an unknown substance. Doctors later suspected the child may have swallowed one of Harris' prescription Oxycodone pills.

The child is expected to make a full recovery. Following the incident, Harris left the hospital to return to his Satsuma home, prompting deputies to obtain a warrant to search the residence. During the search, deputies uncovered various illegal substances, including small baggies of marijuana packaged for sale, an assortment of opioid pills, a small bag of cocaine, meth pills, several bags containing an unidentified white powdery substance, and multiple firearms and ammunition within reach of a child. Harris and Thomas now face child neglect charges. Harris also faces additional charges, including six counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, cocaine possession, and drug trafficking
