Feminist activist group’s tour will include live music, theater, and video based on member Maria “Masha” Alyokhina’s book
is plotting their return with a U.S. tour. On Tuesday, the Russian feminist protest group announced their “Riot Days” tour.
The collective — currently comprising Maria “Masha” Alyokhina, Diana Burkot, Olga Broisova, and Alina Petrova — will start their tour in Montreal on Nov. 1, before making their way to cities such as Seattle, San Jose, Los Angeles, and Dallas, before wrapping their tour in Brooklyn, New York on Dec. 8.
The performance tour will be a combination of live music, theater, and video based on Alyokhina’s book,, which chronicles her experience in the group, including their massive protests and days locked in prison. The performance art delves into current events, including Russia’s invasion on Ukraine. Artists Liza Anne, Sloppy Jane, Death Valley Girls, Phinkshift, and Thick will join the group on different stops of the U.S. tour.earlier this year, which features a group of women wearing red ski masks and carrying an artpiece with the words “This Button Neutralizes Vladimir Putin” on it.
