A video of a cocker spaniel named Alba reacting to a recording of her nighttime noises went viral on Instagram. Alba's owner was surprised by the sounds and decided to record them. When she played the recording back to Alba, the puppy acted as if she had no idea what the noises were.
A puppy's reaction to her listening to the recorded proof of the noises she made at night quickly went viral with over 2.5 million views on Instagram. While Alba the cocker spaniel's owner was prepared for the sleepless nights, she didn't realize these such noises could come from a tiny dog. Shocked by the sounds, she needed to record them.In a throwback video posted to @alba.thecocker earlier this week, the owner placed Alba in her lap and played back the recording from the night before.
She wanted to inform Alba about the restless night she caused for the rest of the household. Whining, crying, yelping, Alba let it all out for the entire house to hear.The pup couldn't believe the sounds she was hearing. Her reactions made it seem like she had no idea who made those noises; she denied any wrongdoing. 'Unfortunately, we didn't get any sleep those days,' the owner, who lives in Madrid, Spain, told Newsweek via Instagram. 'After those 10 days, where she would just cry like that on and off all night, I went and bought a crate, and she immediately loved it.'Getting a full night's rest with a new puppy isn't easy. Most pups struggle to sleep throughout the night, especially when they are first brought home, an article from the Preventative Vet said. New owners can expect frequent wake-up calls because puppies need potty breaks until they can hold it through the night. Furthermore, sleep training will take time and patience.Puppies can also struggle to sleep because they are used to being with their littermates or mother, causing isolation distress. They are in a new environment with unknown smells and sounds. Some might find it scary while others are excited, making it hard for them to settle down.Alba's owner started using the dog training app, Doggo, along with the crate training, and her pet immediately turned into a different dog. She slept in the crate for six hours the first night; she only got up to use the bathroom and then went back to sleep. 'I think she felt much more contained in the crate,' the owner said. 'We put it next to our bed and, if she cried, I just put my hand on the door of the crate and she'd calm down.'The owners started leaving the crate door open for her as she got older, but Alba continued to stay in and sleep there all night. But, when Alba was around 7 months old, she started wanting to sleep with them in bed.
