A maid who punched and slapped a 101-year-old woman under her care was sentenced to 20 weeks’ jail on March 28.
"Any party that continues to try to flame and ride on this issue, which could result in extreme acts, must be punished according to existing laws," the group said in a statement on Saturday .
The group also said it upheld the decree of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia urging all parties to stop taking advantage of the situation, as the matter was already being investigated. As of Saturday , two KK Super Mart stores had been attacked with petrol bombs following the socks incident.
On March 26, a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a KK Super Mart outlet in Bidor, Perak but the petrol bomb hit the five-foot walkway in front of the shop and failed to ignite.
