Don Robertson awarded a soft foul against Junior Hoilett just before he was taken out in the box by Cameron Carter-Vickers.
Cameron Carter-Vickers went to make a clearance in his own box under pressure, and only succeeded in booting the back of Junior Hoilett's leg leg. As the celebrating Dandies behind the goal thought they'd been handed a route back into the Scottish Cup semi-final, their hopes were dashed as ref Don Robertson awarded a foul AGAINST Hoilett for a foul on compatriot Alistair Johnston in the build up.
But Robertson and VAR's call towards the end of extra-time remains baffling, and none of the pundits in attendance could quite understand it.. "Don Robertson has warded a foul to the defending team I don't know why he's allowed the game to continue if he feels that is a free-kick."
