Punches thrown, one arrested during Solon City Council meeting
SOLON, Ohio - A Solon City Council meeting turned into chaos on Monday after two people got into a fight during the public speaking period.
The fight started as a verbal argument following a woman speaking regarding anti-Semitic comments made within the community. Two men were seen on the Solon CouncilDavid Fleiss, 61, stood up and began to walk out while the sheriff was speaking. As he was making his way to the door, Adam Waldbaum can be seen on camera waving at Fleiss. That is when the two exchanged punches and Fleiss was removed.
According to the police report, following the observation of the video, both men were charged with disorderly conduct and escorted out. Police say that Fleiss then went to his car to leave. As he was driving out, police say he drove his car in a direction towards Waldbaum. The police report says Fleiss came within inches of hitting Waldbaum, who jumped out of the way. This ultimately led to Fleiss' arrest and he was charged with aggravated menacing.
