Bumuo na ng Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) ang pulisya para malutas ang nangyaring pagpatay sa negosyante at modelong si Yvonne o Yvonnete Plaza. Malapitang binaril ng riding in tandem ang biktima sa labas ng tinutuluyan niyang bahay sa Davao City noong nakaraang linggo.
Sa ulat ni Jandi Esteban sa GMA Regional TV"One Mindanao" nitong Lunes, ipinakita ang screenshot sa nangyaring krimen noong gabi ng Disyembre 28, 2022 sa labas ng tinutuluyang bahay ng 38-anyos na biktima sa Green Meadow Subdivision sa Barangay Sto. Niño.
Ayon kay Police Colonel Alberto Lupaz, Director, Davao City Police Office, mayroon na silang tinitingnan na persons of interest pero hindi pa sila puwedeng magbigay ng detalye. Inaalam din ng mga imbestigador kung may basehan ang lumalabas sa social media tungkol sa isang mataas na opisyal na iniuugnay sa biktima na dati umano nitong karelasyon.Ayon kay Police Major Eudisan Gultiano, tagapagsalita ng Police Regional Office 11, mayroon dalawang linggo ang binuong SITG upang matukoy ang mga suspek sa krimen at masampahan ng kaso.
